Title of Piece: “Parenting During a Pandemic”

Medium: Adobe Illustrator, print on paper

Dimensions: 14” x 10”

Artist Statement: The Stay-At-Home order has put a lot of stress on many people, and parents are more stressed than ever. I created a simple guide for parents to try and ease their mental load, by doing three steps each day to de-stress.

Bio: My creative process starts with writing notes and ideas, I am a list kind of girl! I move to sketching, then jump pretty quickly to a computer to bring my designs to life. Usually I start with one idea and by the time I'm done it's completely different than I expected. Graphic Design and Lifestyle Photography are my biggest passions in life, and I plan on running a design and photography business once I have finished my schooling, and hope to also work for a local design or tech company.

Title of Piece: “How to Cover Your Cough & Sleeve Your Sneeze”

Medium: Adobe Illustrator, print on paper

Dimensions: 14” x 10”

Artist Statement: I wanted to make a poster directed to a younger audience such as children up to the age of ten years old. It's a helpful tool to encourage washing hands with familiar characters that are often depicted in story books and the like.

Bio: Doodling familiar yet abstract characters has always been a passion for me, and encouraged me to do any sort of project whether school or work related. I’ve always loved animals and planned to pursue the career of a veterinarian but didn't have a complete affinity to the "behind-the-scenes" work in caring for animals. Instead, I have pursued independent study of animals with books and documentaries. I use that knowledge to showcase how animal behavior can inform our own perceptions of daily life.
